Jookie

FAT! Records are back after two years in the wilderness. Foamo aka Kye Gibbon has been quiet by his standards of late. This is a return to form though. Jookie is the new 2 track ep which dropped on monday. Jookie is the a-side and has been getting plays from loads of top players Zinc, Julio Bashmore and Drop the Lime to name a few. Vibeing off the approaching sunny days and festival season Kye has produced two tracks sure to rip up floors and festivals all summer.

"JOOKIE represents a subtle yet decided shift away from the 'bass in your face' approach. Drumline percussion, marching horns and ever-rising synths are underpinned by a growling bassline. The drop recalls Dubfire, simultaneously transporting you to the dancefloor at Space as the track becomes some kind of twisted rolling monster.
CENTAVO sees Foamo reworking the formula. Like L-Vis 1990 doing Fake Blood ultra-rigid programmed drums, more brass and an odd vocal provide the backdrop for a high pressure bass workout. House music at its toughest. This sounds as much at home in the depths of London as it would on a festival stage."

have a listen and look out for dates on the myspace page. He is Chew the Fat resident Dj and regularly smashes it with his sets. Be sure to buy the ep if you like it.....
